Anyone who visits Schoppernau will be delighted with the diverse range of activities that it has to offer. But the place also has to offer a lot culturally. Especially recommended are the visit of the parish church St. Philippus and Jakobus, the Armenseelenkapelle, the Villa Maund (a hunting villa in English country house style) and the birthplace of the poet Franz Michael Felder.

You could also take a look at the jubilee organ, which was acquired through donations and the help of the villagers. The organist Hugo Morscher has also worked hard for this instrument. The community regularly organizes small organ concerts here, where one can listen to the beautiful different sound colors. Many famous artists from all over the world have been guests in Schoppernau since then.
The composer and organist Alexander Moosbrugger, who was born in Schoppernau and is now internationally renowned, also attracts extraordinary musical greats to the village time and again, many of whom have also been inspired by the beautiful surrounding and seclusion of the place.

The surroundings are particularly suitable for hiking and nature lovers and you can also take part in guided tours. Worth a visit is the nature experience Holdamoos between Au and Schoppernau, where you can walk along a forest nature trail, look at a herb garden and participate in herb walks.

Or visit the forest pool of Schoppernau, where you can enjoy swimming in the middle of wonderful mountain scenery. This is fun for the whole family.

Not far from the mighty mountain Kanisfluh you can find the ski resort Diedamskopf. Schoppernau is a cozy vacation village and offers many leisure activities during the ski vacation. Apart from some après-ski bars in the village and a few cultural highlights like the Felder Museum, Schoppernau is a popular destination for sports activities. The list is long: ski/snowboard school, snowboard fun park, hang gliding, paragliding, natural toboggan runs, ice skating, night skiing/tobogganing, husky tours, horse-drawn sleigh rides, 63 km of cross-country and skating trails, snowshoe hikes, children's program and, of course, skiing on the Diedamskopf (2,090 m) or the surrounding 39 ski areas (all accessible by free ski bus - including Ski Arlberg).
In addition, you can have your children looked after free of charge in the Diedamskopf Adventure Land and make a few undisturbed turns.

Or visti Schoppernau in the summer, where you can choose from many outdoor activities: Hiking, archery, climbing parks, paragliding, hang gliding, horseback riding, children's adventure pool, canyoning, cave tours, sunrise hikes, Flying Fox course, forest climbing garden, bike course, bike bus, (e-)bike rental, etc.

The Diedamskopf is one of the larger ski areas in the Bregenzerwald and offers varied winter sports for the whole family. Over 40 kilometers of slopes, a large snow park and the longest challenging downhill run in the Bregenzerwald invite you to enjoy your winter holiday. The view from the Diedamskopf is also fantastic and alone worth a trip. By the way, not far from the Diedamskopf are also the snowy ski resorts Mellau-Damüls-Faschina, Schröcken/Warth (Ski Arlberg - ski circuit directly to Zürs/Lech). The ski bus takes you there comfortably and free of charge.

Au-Schoppernau with the skiing area Diedamskopf is known for the magnificent mountain panorama, the innovative snow sports school with children's adventure land and the good offers for snowboarders.
The slopes on the 2,090-meter-high Diedamskopf are just as popular with experts as with families with skiing-experienced children.
Highlights: The long valley run and the off-piste possibilities.
The Diedamskopf is one of the few ski areas in Austria where you can ski almost exclusively on natural snow - a luxury you can only really appreciate once you experience it yourself.
A particularly beautiful panoramic view over the mountains and all the way to Lake Constance opens up from the summit, accessible on the winter hiking trail and all year round by cable car - also a wonderful take-off point for paragliders and hang-gliders.
